NEWS – Succession Planning: Gerhard Jansen and Peter Stähli to co-preside Jansen PrimeSteps Foundation

At the request of the 77-year-old founder of JPF, Gerhard Jansen, our Board decided to establish a co-presidency as of August 2023. The co-presidents are former president Gerhard Jansen and the current vice-president, Peter Stähli.

“An entrepreneurial approach to development aid has great opportunities to make a lasting impact” Stähli welcomes his new position. Gerhard Jansen, who already placed great importance on timely succession planning in his former company, seeks to prepare the foundation for a future without the founders – both on a conceptual and organisational level. In particular, the entrepreneurial orientation of the Jansen PrimeSteps Foundation and the continuity of management style and values are to be secured.

“After the first ten years, we know that entrepreneurial poverty reduction works. And achieves much more than simply distributing donations. I am very pleased to have found a passionate entrepreneur in Peter Stähli as my co-president and successor” Jansen comments.
